A couple of purchases

I ordered a few things online a while ago and they finally arrived!

These stickers are the cutest, the first one is of bows, the second one is of food, then traveling & then shopping. I think they go in this order.

It's such an irony that my phone cases arrived AFTER my iPhone got stolen. I use a HTC phone now, which means I have more than 10 adorable covers sitting in my room that are of no use to me :(

Deborah Lippmann/butter London Order!

My very first Deborah Lippmann & butter London order came in a few days ago ☺ I wouldn't have thought that I'd be willing to shell out $16/$18 for one bottle of nail polish, but there was a discount on the site I ordered my polish from because it was my first order, so I thought I'd make use of it to try some of these polishes out!

From left to right: Daytripper, Some Enchanted Evening, On the Beach, Mermaid's Dream, Across the Universe

From left to right: Snog, Tart with a Heart

These are the 2 of the polishes I've swatched so far! You can click on the x below the picture and it'll take you to where I review the polishes ☺

Travel MAC Palette?

I purchased a 4 pan palette from MAC a couple of days ago. I actually already own a 15 pan palette from MAC but I wanted something that I could take with me if I'm traveling or going to be doing my makeup on the go.

Top row: Naked Lunch, All That Glitters
Second row: Mythology, Honey Lust

I meant to take pictures of the swatches but I forgot ☹ I chose to put only neutral shades inside so that they'd match everything. When my friend saw this palette, she said that all the colors look the same haha, I really should try venturing into colors but I don't want to look like a clown.

Colors for Spring/Summer ☼

These are my nail polish picks for Spring/Summer! I'm totally feeling pastels now, and these colors are top on my list now. I don't really like any finish other than creme right now so... they're all going to be creme polishes.

Left to right: OPI's Panda-monium Pink, Essie's Nice is Nice, Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet, China Glaze's Kinetic Candy

Panda-monium Pink is a pretty blue-toned pink creme polish which can make it look slightly lilac in some lights. You can see the swatch of it here

Nice is Nice is a pastel lilac color which is really pretty but kind of annoying to apply. I use 3 coats because it's pretty streaky. Here's an updated swatch because I don't like the one on my Tumblr.

Mint Sorbet is your typical mint green color, it's a good dupe for Essie's Mint Candy Apple and Revlon's Minted. Mint Sorbet has the best formula of all, to me at least. It's completely opaque in 2 coats and not streaky at all. You can see a swatch of it here

Kinetic Candy is baby blue creme polish, and it's a pretty close dupe (not exact) for OPI's What's with the Cat-titude. I prefer this polish over WwtC because it's completely opaque in 2 coats,  and WwtC takes me at least 4 coats. Look at the swatch here !

Let me know if you have any great Spring/Summer colors you'd like to recommend, I'm definitely looking for more polish to hoard try ;)

Japanese Snacks ♥

The first one's pudding shaped chocolate and the other one is biscuit fingers with dipping chocolate and hundreds & thousands!

Manicure Monday?

I painted my nails with OPI's Mermaid's Tears (thumb, pointer & pinkie) and China Glaze's Goddess (middle & ring finger). I really like how these colors look together!

After a couple of days, the polish started to wear away at the tips a little and I thought it'd be the best time to try half moon manicures (which I have been wanting to try) because they cover up the tips. I layered China Glaze's Kinetic Candy on top.

I thought it was a pretty fail manicure because the half moons were shaped weirdly. I should have stuck the tape further down and left less of Mermaid's Tears visible!

Absolute Fave: MAC Paint Pots

Paint pots are my absolute favorite things from M.A.C Cosmetics (their MSFs come a close second)! I love that you can wear them as primers or on their own. I don't have as many as I'd like to have though, because I'm terribly paranoid about them drying up. Here is my collection of 6.

Top row: Bare Study, Painterly, Morning Frost(LE)
Bottom row: Rubenesque, Indianwood, Groundwork

As you can see, Indianwood is starting to dry up & pull away from the edges :( When I got it, I noticed the texture was considerably drier than the others. Not sure if it's meant to be like that or if mine is just dried out.

Bare Study is a shimmery skin tone color and Painterly is a slightly darker, matte version of Painterly. They would be a great base if you're about an NC/NW15/20 in M.A.C shades. They're good worn with eyeshadow on top but too slightly too light to be worn on their own on my NC25/30 skin tone, especially if I don't take the time to blend them out.

Morning Frost is limited edition from the Glitter and Ice collection (released late 2011) and it's a frosty taupe color.

Rubenesque was my very first paint pot and this is my second pot of it, I love that stuff! It's adds a peachy, shimmery wash of color to your lids and I think it's a great paint pot to have, no matter what your skin tone is.

Indianwood has to be my FAVORITE by far, it's the paint pot I reach for the most. It's a very dark bronze color which goes well with my skin tone. It gives me depth in the outer corners of my eyes so it's the easiest to wear on it's own. It's like an entire eye makeup look without the fuss.

Groundwork seems like a matte brown but I'm pretty sure it has the slightest hint of shimmer in it. Nothing too major, but enough to make you want to take a closer look. It's a good nude color for anyone with darker skin.

Paint pots are the best primers in my opionion. I've tried the Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance but paint pots are the best. I'm definitely looking to collect more M.A.C paint pots but I'll take my time and wait to see what the other collections offer!

China Glaze-- Electric Beat & Shooting Stars

I painted my nails with China Glaze's Electric Beat and Shooting Stars. I really love how they look together! Electric Beat is a really pretty cornflower blue & Shooting Stars is a glitter layering polish with very fine & larger pieces of glitter.

My very first Deborah Lippmann polishes ♥

I've been wanting to try Deborah Lippmann polishes for the longest while now. The only thing is that they're so expensive! I couldn't justify spending US$18 on a nail polish until I discovered my (soon to be) new favorite shopping site, where I got these for 30% off! Sadly, it only applies to my first order. I guess the good side to that is that I won't go on a Deborah Lippmann spree every time payday rolls around.

I ordered (from left to right), Across The Universe, Mermaid's Dream, On The Beach, Some Enchanted Evening and Daytripper.

They expected to reach me in a few days, and I CAN'T WAIT!
